Company History

In October 1999, Spine Care & Pain Management, founded by
Janene Holladay, M.D., started out as a small, one-physician practice located in Athens, GA. Dr. Holladay opened the doors to her practice while continuing to work at local emergency departments, so that she could afford the costs of opening a new practice on her own.
A little over a year later the practice began to grow and Dr. Holladay devoted herself full time to Spine Care & Pain Management. Soon after, she began recruiting additional physicians. Reginald Strother, M.D. joined the practice in 2001 and Richard Campbell, M.D. in 2002.
Within a short time the physicians realized there was a need for interventional pain management in the area outside of Athens and opened the Winder location. We have since added an additional six locations in North Georgia. As the practice has grown and gained many wonderful patients we have also gained remarkable new physicians. In 2008, Woodley Mardy-Davis, M.D. joined Spine Care & Pain Management. In 2009, we welcomed Peter Fong, M.D.
Our desire to offer our patients convenience along with better treatment options led us to add a physical therapy department, two nationally accredited ambulatory surgery centers and on-site pharmacies staffed by licensed pharmacists.
At our practice we pride ourselves on patient service. We have a unique family of physicians who are board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management and have extraordinary skills coupled with a caring and compassionate nature. Spine Care & Pain Management has helped thousands of people from all walks of life and we hope for the opportunity to do the same for you.
Mission Statement
Our purpose is to provide comprehensive, goal based, interventional pain management by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, while enriching the community through education and compassion.
